A Few Random Things - Well, What Did You Expect?

A few of you may recall that I own an iPod that stopped working last fall, but I held onto it anyway. I brought the dead iPod with me to CA, and my friend Janice fixed it! So, finally, I have an iPod! :dances: <(^w^<) (>^w^)> We've both agreed that this wonderful act, as well as the 2+ pages of Aang/Zuko sketches she's made me, is more than enough payment for her attunement to level one Reiki.

And speaking of Reiki...

I received my final Reiki attunement about a week after school officially ended, making me a Reiki Master - a term that I find rather glorifies the final level of Reiki. It just means that I've gotten all three attunements and can now attune others to this system of healing. It doesn't mean that I'm gifted at healing, have memorized all the symbols perfectly, or am a particularly good teacher. I still have a lot to learn, but I am thankful for the challenge, and the support my Reiki Master and others have given me. Janice will be the second person I've initiated, and I'm a bit nervous but I'm also looking forward to it.

I am also working to learn as much about Reiki as I can this summer, because even if I don't want to teach (not the case) someone will ask for an attunement. I'm sure of it.

In other news...

You've probably noticed that I've changed my icons to something more Avatar. This is just one of the symptoms of Jac falling hopelessly back into her favorite fandom. Now, if I can just figure out how to work LJ better, I'll pretty this up so you won't have to look at that boring blue background. (BTW, the icons are courtesy piandao.org.) The Iroh-influenced part of me has been giddy lately, because I just discovered a little shop in town that sells gyokuro (premium green tea) and maatcha (the stuff used at the tea ceremonies. I'm so happy and caffeinated. 8D

I have finished the main arc of Tales of Legendia and have begun on the extra stuff. I have some questions for you Tales players: 1: Does every Tales game have that ultimate evil darkness that is never mentioned in the main arc? 2: If a character says "We're on a date!" does that move it from the subtext into the text? Because if it does, there's near-canon yuri in Legendia.

Maybe it's the music, or the quotes, or the sappiness... But I just can't take the somber moments seriously in this game. To quote: "STELLAAAAAAAAA!" I couldn't stop giggling.

Also: If you haven't seen Twelve Monkeys, go see it. Brad Pitt brilliantly plays a schizophrenic, Bruce Willis breaks out of his usual typecast tough-guy and plays a guy who's confused and lost and terrified, and it's directed by the Animator from Monty Python!

New word:
Subtextuous: Adjective. Involving or containing subtext. Example: That "Love on the Battlefield" sequence in MGS1 was really subtextuous, wasn't it?
Drabbles to Drawings

Taken from attalanderInstead of a drabble, though, you'll be getting art (which I will post on my deviantArt gallery until I figure out livejournal.)

I will accept up to two requests from any one person, as long as you post twice.

The first TEN people to comment in this post get to request a drabble of any pairing/character of their choosing from me. In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their ability level. If you absolutely can't write, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to offer drawings or icons or something instead.

1. Foamy Cabbages!
2. Takato/Henry
3. Kirk/Spock aka Spork (or Kock)
4. Fakir/Ahiru
5. Link/Zelda
6. Bitchmaster! Quatre Winner/Wufei and ...Zuko???
7. Something Attaland-centric
8. Atrophos/Lex
9. <(^.^)>
10. <(-.-<)

Thanks for visiting :)

Hi ladies!
Because one of my loves is bringing you entertaining (if rather useless) things, I give you http://thesurrealist.co.uk/, a website that includes the slogan generator - something that some of you may remember from last year and the machine that formed both the title of this entry and the small list I've compiled here for your enjoyment:

Bellatrix tested, mother approved.

Any time, any place, Bellatrix.

I've seen the future, and it's Bellatrix-shaped.

Stimulation for body and Bellatrix.

What can Bellatrix do for you?

There's also a Shakespeare quote generator:

"Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your yaoi!"

"For God's sake, let us sit upon the ground
And tell sad stories of the yaoi of kings."

"O excellent! I love Bellatrix better than figs."

And a movie quote generator:

"Say hello to my little Toph!"

"Sasunaru, for lack of a better word, is good."

"I am serious... And don't call me Sasuke."

"And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my slash."

"Remember who you are. You are my son and the one true slash. Remember..."

There are tons of other things on this website too for the student on vacation with too much time. Enjoy and share! I'd love to see what you come up with.

Thanks for reading
Jac
